Neleh's Opening Statement
(Don't mind the kids lol)
Hey guys!
So, I want to set the record straight right now......I came into this game, All-Stars, with the intentions of being the best All-Star and winning. What does the picture in the top-left corner of all of our screens say? It says, "Who will be best of the best?" And I wanted that to be me. After getting so close to what I felt was a very deserving win in Season 1, I set our to redeem myself and get the win I always felt I wanted and deserved this time around.
I, once again, set myself up in a great alliance since literally Round 1 of this game. I always found that the vote I suggested, was the way the vote went. (With the exceptions, of course, of other tribes' Tribal Councils.)
I won the hidden immunity Idol in this game by guessing the number 4. It was not a random choice, but an educated guess, as it was Season 4 of the series and I figured it might have some attatchment. It ended up proving right, and I got the Idol. I did lie to even some of my biggest allies when it came to the wearabouts of the Idol--not because I wanted to decieve them, but because I have learned from other ORGs in the past--not one, not two, but three--that telling your "biggest ally" you had the idol could turn into the biggest blindside/backstab of the season, and you would be the victim. I was not going to even risk making that mistake again.
I took control near the end of the game. I set myself up with a Final 4 that I felt, no matter what the scenario, would get me to the Final 2. I voted out my biggest threat left (and one of my biggest friends left in the game) at Final 4, Rob C. Both people in the final 3 told me they would have brought me to the Final 2, but I didn't have to worry about that, as I swept the last 3 Immunity Challenges of the game.
There was ONE person I betrayed in this game, and that was Jenna. For that, I do apologize. I did genuinely like you and I know that I said yes when you asked for an alliance with me, but the truth was I already had a larger alliance I was a part of from the beginning of the game. However, I have also learned in the past not to decline an alliance you are offered--that could also be a downfall. What could I have said? "No, I already have an alliance." I was able to say this later on, but I was also saying it because I had the means to save the other person in that scenario and wanted to be as honest as possible. I do, like I said, apologize because I did do you wrong.
And, I had one Final 2 deal in this game (a mistake I made the first season was NOT making a Final 2 deal, so of course I accepted), and look, I honored my Final 2. I got here, with Rudy.
So, thanks guys, for a GREAT season! This one topped Morocco and after the time I had in that it was a hard one to top. Thanks Jeff for a great game and I'm nervous but excited for the questions that will be thrown at me!
PS--I have work literally every day after today through next Sunday (the 23rd), except for Monday, so I will try to answer your questions when I can.
Good luck Rudy!
